Background

The Infrastructure Advisory Board was formerly known as the Durango Utilities Commission. The purpose of the Infrastructure Advisory Board is to advise City Council on water and wastewater issues and policies such as:

Water supply
Conservation
Construction and use of transportation and storage facilities
Water redundancy
Quality of drinking water & treated sewer water
Water rights
Purification
Transporting water to storage facilities
Utilization
Improvements/expansion of water and sewage systems, including treatment facilities
Making such other studies and surveys as are necessary to cover generally all problems concerning the water and wastewater systems

The board also studies state and federal legislation affecting the city in matters pertaining to water, as well as submits reports of studies and surveys with recommendations to the City Council. If you have a question or a comment for this board, please fill out this form.
