Dry Gulch Reservoir (Pending)

A conceptual art piece with map fragments, grid overlays, and sketches, blending geography with abstract elements.

Dry Gulch Reservoir is a proposed water storage facility to be located in Archuleta County in Southwest Colorado. Originally envisioned to be a 35,000 acre-foot (AF) reservoir, for a variety of environmental and legal reasons it has been downsized to 11,000 AF. As proposed, Dry Gulch is an off-channel water storage facility providing raw water for water providers, recreationists, and irrigators. The facility will be filled using an existing agricultural ditch known as the “Park Ditch”. The San Juan Water Conservancy District (SJWCD) is the lead agency overseeing the feasibility of the Project. For more information visit the SJWCD website.
