Maloney Moves On
Meghan Maloney, River Program Director for the San Juan Citizens Alliance (SJCA), left her position in late May 2011. During her tenure with the SJCA she had a variety of duties including the River Protection Workgroup (RPW) steering committee, attending local RPW workgroup meetings, steering committee member of the Dolores River Dialogue, representing a coalition of environmental groups in state water quality rulemaking processes, she held the environmental seat with the Southwest Basin Roundtable and also coordinated the annual Animas River Days festival. Meghan now works as the Colorado River Senior Campaign Manager for the National Parks Conservation Association. In her new capacity, she will focus on advocating for National Park units in the Colorado River basin, take part in the Glen Canyon Adaptive Management Working Group meetings, and collaborate with a variety of entities on future water policy planning as it relates to the Colorado River. Good luck! We wish her much success in her new position and ventures.
