Chaffee County Commissioners delayed deciding Thursday on a proposal from Nestle to harvest natural spring water and truck it to its Denver bottling plant. Nestle Waters of North America Inc. wants a maximum of 200 acre feet of water a year from two spring sources near Chaffee County Road 300 in the Nathrop area between Salida and Buena Vista. The water would amount to a year's supply of water for 200 four-person homes.
